Welcome to Aboutfarthings !!

A visual reference library of farthing varieties!!

Two new examples of encased farthings have been added.

Hopefully the George II series will be added in the near future. I have altered the menu system to try and make the site more accessible, but if you do encounter any errors or problems please e-mail me at colin@aboutfarthings.co.uk so that I can get them fixed.

The site is focused on providing all visitors with an insight into the wonderful world of farthings. It is my intention that the site will primarily contain information on circulation issue British milled farthings, with varieties and die errors listed where known.

The approach is to provide a visual reference, which will allow users to identify the many types and varieties by indicating visible features and differences. As previously mentioned the area of focus will be on British Milled coins, but it is hoped that with time I will expand the site into the areas listed below:
